Dear Members of the Pitt Community:

On Monday, Nov. 5, the University of Pittsburgh community will gather at noon on the Cathedral of Learning lawn to pay tribute to the victims of the Tree of Life massacre. This event will also be an opportunity to stand in support of those who are still hurting, in appreciation for those who responded, and in solidarity with our Jewish classmates, colleagues, teachers, neighbors, family members and friends.

The gathering, planned by Pitt students, faculty and staff, is open to all. Faculty members and administrative leaders should exercise the utmost flexibility in supporting attendance to this event, and students who want to attend but have class during this time will be granted an excused absence.
