Art Ramicone serves Pitt as Senior Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer. He is responsible for the departments of Controller’s Office, Budget and Financial Reporting, Treasury and Investments, Financial Information Systems, Student Financial Services, Institutional Research, Management Information and Analysis, Purchasing and Accounts Payable, Payroll, Risk Management, and Workers’ Compensation.
Ramicone joined the University as Manager of Internal Audit in 1988. In July 1995 he was appointed as Associate Vice Chancellor, Budget and Administration. He assumed the duties of Vice Chancellor for Budget and Controller in February 1996, and in December 2010 was named Chief Financial Officer. Ramicone assumed the responsibility of Interim Executive Vice Chancellor in January 2015. At the February 27, 2015, Board of Trustees meeting he was appointed Senior Vice Chancellor and CFO. Prior to joining the University, Ramicone was a CPA with Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now known as Deloitte & Touche LLP) from 1978 to 1985, and he spent three years in industry from 1985 to 1988.
Ramicone earned a BS (in 1975) and an MBA (1978) from Pennsylvania State University.
