Each year, Southwest PA Says No More sponsors a Father’s Day Pledge to end domestic violence and sexual assault.
This statewide campaign encourages men to become engaged in solutions for ending gender violence. It also reminds us to talk with our sons, daughters, friends and loved ones about healthy relationships and how we—as a community—can actively aid victims in getting help.
I signed the Father’s Day Pledge last year, and I plan to do so again this year. I will also talk about this important issue at a public pledge signing event in downtown Pittsburgh on June 17.
Anyone can sign this year’s pledge online, and I encourage you to consider supporting this worthy campaign.
